Upgrading PHP to PHP7.0 on cPanel
For now, we strongly recommend that you use PHP at least version 7.0 for optimal performance.
If the tutorial on this page is not available on your cPanel hosting, please contact your hosting support for help moving to PHP 7.0
The following are the steps for changing the PHP version.
- Login to your cPanel.
- Select the Select PHP Version menu in the Software category.
- Choose the PHP version that suits your application needs, after you determine the PHP version don’t forget to press the “save as current” button to save your changes.
- Congratulations, your version of PHP has been increased to version 7.0.
